Kero Hireyo

So, I've been kind of obsessed with Cirque du Soleil for the past few weeks...especially with the show Varekai, omigah. I saw it live back in 2003, and I'm so disappointed that I was too young then to remember anything! Thank goodness there is a DVD, but still I wish I could relive the magic in person.

Anyway, here is my tribute to Cirque. None of the figures above are meant to be real characters from the shows, but the designs are based highly off of real costumes. Therefore, I do not take credit for any of the outfits or make-up patterns seen in the drawing.

Btw, Kero Hireyo is the title of a track played during the triple trapeze act of Varekai. As far as I know, it is of a made-up language.
